How This Page Works
X Posts
Posts by known accounts (PM Modi, PMO, opposition leaders, and the PTI, ANI, IANS and UNI X accounts) are read from their public X timelines using automated tools, with the exact link to each post and the account's profile photo. Other posts (states, public trackers, world) are the ones news search has indexed, mostly within the past 24 hours (up to 3 days for individual opposition leaders). This page does not log into X and does not use X's official paid access.
Top News, Agencies & Regional
Leading stories from news search in Hindi and English, PTI, ANI, IANS and UNI's own X posts plus their website stories (via public news links searches of their websites), news search editions in Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Gujarati, Malayalam and Punjabi, and, because news search has no Kannada, Urdu or Odia edition, those three from publishers' own feeds (Prajavani, Kannada Prabha, Vijayavani; UNI Urdu, ETV Bharat Urdu; Sambad, Dharitri, ETV Bharat Odia). Every item links to its original source.
Today's Summary method
Extractive, no AI: the top 3 stories in Indian news's English “Nation” section, in the source's own ranking order with near-duplicates removed, plus the top 3 Hindi stories in the fold-out. Headlines are shown exactly as published.
Hashtag-based tracker
Posts in the “Public: Support” and “Public: Criticism” tabs are selected automatically by the hashtags and phrases listed on each tab. A post that the Positive / Negative rule reads as against the Union government is never kept under Support, and one it reads as for the government is never kept under Criticism. No manual curation, human review, or AI-based content selection is involved, and some party, media or government posts can slip through.
Positive / Negative chip
Green Positive = the post or story supports or defends the Union government; red Negative = it criticises the Union government; grey Neutral = not about the government, no stance, or both. An automatic rule in your browser reads who says what about whom (Hindi, Hinglish, English). The words that decided it are shown on the card. It is rule-based (no AI), may sometimes be wrong and does not understand sarcasm. Treat it as a hint, not a measurement.
Automatic Updates
Posts and headlines update by themselves while the page is open, without reloading the page. New posts show up as a “N new posts” pill at the top of the list (tap it to see them), and each section shows when it was last updated (IST). If a source is unavailable, the last data saved in your browser is shown with a notice.
How quickly headlines appear
News items appear once news search or the publisher's own feed lists them. Live TV and Live Radio play the broadcasters' own live streams.
Duplicates
Near-identical headlines from different outlets are grouped into one card with an “N sources” count.
Live Access
Tap the “𝕏 Live” button to visit X and explore the latest posts directly on the platform.

News feeds
Every news item comes from a public News search RSS feed: News search's India editions (English, Hindi and seven regional languages), news searches for X posts (
site:x.com), and news searches of the four news agencies' websites. Exceptions: the Newspapers page reads each paper's own feed where one works, and Kannada, Urdu and Odia (no news search edition) come from publishers' own feeds: Prajavani, Kannada Prabha, Vijayavani; UNI Urdu, ETV Bharat Urdu; Sambad, Dharitri, ETV Bharat Odia (checked 1 Nov 2026).Known X accounts
Posts by known X accounts (PM Modi, PMO, the listed opposition leaders, PTI, ANI, IANS and UNI's own accounts: @PTI_News, @ANI, @AHindinews, @ians_india, @IANSKhabar, @uniindianews, and the people lists below) are read from each account's public X profile using automated tools. If a profile cannot be read, related public news links are shown instead. This site does not log into X. Profile photos are the accounts' public X photos.
Attribution
No news articles or X posts are independently authored, reproduced or republished here. Each card says “via public news links” or “via X” and links directly to the original publisher or X post for reference and verification.
No AI writing, open registry
Bharat Pulse Live does not write, edit or summarise any item with AI. The full registry (every feed, its exact URL, language, coverage and refresh interval) is in the Source health table above and at the full source registry.
Accounts
All accounts are public X accounts, verified using official sources. Lists are updated regularly.
Live TV and Newspapers
Live TV lists 60 news channels (Hindi 12, English 10, Regional 26, World 12). Each one is the channel's own official YouTube channel: its channel ID was read from the channel's @handle page on youtube.com (verified 30 Oct 2026). Streams play in YouTube's own embedded player (youtube-nocookie.com) only after you tap a channel; one plays at a time, and Multi-view 2×2 on desktop plays four muted. Streams are embedded from each channel's official YouTube; Bharat Pulse Live does not host or rebroadcast them. Whether a channel is live, and whether it allows its stream to play on other sites, is checked with YouTube's own public address resolver and oEmbed (kept 5 minutes). Each channel's latest uploads come from its public YouTube feed, or from its public Videos list when the feed does not answer (then the time is approximate and shown with “about”), kept 10 minutes.
Newspapers lists 25 papers. Headlines come from each paper's own public RSS feed or news sitemap; where a paper offers none that this server can read, a news search of the paper's own website is used and the card says so. “Read today's e-paper” opens the publisher's own e-paper site; Bharat Pulse Live does not download, store or show e-paper pages. Headlines via each publisher's public feed; full e-paper opens on the publisher's site. Every channel and paper is in the Source health table above.
X Monitor
Search Monitor reads public news links (site:x.com plus your keyword, last 7 days, English and Hindi editions), because the automated tools cannot search X; results can lag minutes to hours and do not include every post. Account Watch reads each watched account's latest public posts (about 20) using automated tools, with the like, repost, reply and view counts it returns, and falls back to news search. Trend Analytics charts only those numbers and the keyword counts this browser saved each time a search ran; nothing is estimated, and browser snapshots are not shared history. Alerts run in your browser and are stored on this device; they work only while the site is open (no email, SMS or push from a server): it checks saved keywords and watched accounts, flags new posts, and flags a spike when the last hour has at least 3 posts and at least 3× the average hourly volume before it. Account Compare (in Trend Analytics) counts only posts whose time falls inside the chosen range (India time; the default is Today from 00:00:00 to now). It reads each account's own timeline using automated tools, 5 pages (about 100 posts) per request, and keeps reading older pages, up to about 400 posts per account, until the range is reached (reposts are left out because their counts belong to someone else) and shows likes, reposts, replies, quotes, bookmarks and views exactly as returned. Impressions are X's view counts; engagement rate = (likes + reposts + replies + quotes) ÷ views, over posts that have a views count. A pinned post doesn't count as coverage. For busy accounts 100 posts can cover less than a month, so each account shows the date its data starts; older dates are not available from the free reader. Posts read are kept in this browser (up to 1,000 per account) so history builds up on that device. Keywords, watched accounts (up to 25), compare history and alerts are stored in this browser only.
Collection, refresh and time
- Published time is the publication time news search reports for the item (for posts read from X, the time the post went up on X). Received time is when Bharat Pulse Live's server fetched the feed that contained it. All times are shown in IST (UTC+05:30).
- How quickly headlines appear: an item appears only after news search indexes it; that typically takes minutes to hours. In our checks on 29 Oct 2026 a typical item was 5–13 hours old.
- When a feed fails: the server serves its last good copy (marked “source temporarily unavailable”), and your browser falls back to the copy it saved last (marked “showing saved data”), never a made-up item.
Duplicates
Identical links are shown once (tracking parameters such as utm_* are ignored). Different outlets' headlines are grouped into one card with an “N sources” button only when they share at least 5 meaningful words and either 60% of all their words overlap, or 85% of the shorter headline (6+ words) appears in the longer one. Common words (“the”, “के”, “news”…) are ignored. The rule is deliberately cautious: two different stories are never merged on a few shared words, so some true duplicates stay separate.
Public trackers: hashtag matching rules
The “Public: Support” and “Public: Criticism” tabs are hashtag-based trackers, not sentiment analysis. A post appears when news search returns it for the search terms below and its text contains one of the “keep” words. A post that the Positive / Negative rule (below) reads as against the Union government is also left out of Support, and one it reads as for the government is left out of Criticism.

Known biases and false-positive risks
- The hashtag lists were chosen by hand on 29 Oct 2026 from what news search was returning; they cover a few campaigns, not public opinion as a whole.
- A post can use a hashtag to mock it, quote it or report on it; it still lands in that tab.
- When the post author is unknown (common on this server), party, minister and media posts can slip through the exclusion rules.
- Volume reflects what news search chose to index, not how many people posted.
Positive / Negative on cards: stance toward the Union government
Cards carry a Positive, Negative or Neutral chip set by one plain rule that runs in your browser (no AI): Positive when the text praises, supports or defends the Union government, the Prime Minister, a Union minister or a government policy (achievements, launches, approvals, people backing the government, and the government answering its critics); Negative when it criticises, attacks or blames them (opposition, experts or courts criticising the government, protests against it, failures pinned on it); Neutral when it is not about the Union government, takes no stance, or carries both. It reads who does what to whom, not single words: “Congress ka scam” or a terror attack alone are Neutral, “Opposition slams Centre” is Negative, “Minister slams Opposition” is Positive. The same rule sorts the News Sentiment page and keeps the Public Support / Public Criticism trackers apart. Hovering the chip shows the words it matched; there is no confidence score.
- Limits: it reads only Hindi, Hinglish and English; it cannot detect sarcasm, quotes or long sentences that change direction; a “not” or “नहीं” next to a word reverses it but other negation is missed; it marks the stance of the text, not public opinion or whether a policy is good or bad.
Data status labels
The chip in the header uses the latest source-health check, evaluated in this order:
- Unavailable no successful collection yet, or fewer than half of the checked feeds answered.
- Delayed the last successful collection is more than 15 minutes old (three missed 5-minute cycles).
- Partial at least one feed failed, or more than 20% of feeds returned no items.
- Updated everything else: collected within 15 minutes, no feed errors, at most 20% empty.
A feed is counted as stale when it answered but its newest item is older than 12 hours (24 hours for the PM's own-post feeds, 72 hours for the opposition leaders' own-post feeds, which look back 3 days). Stale feeds are reported, but do not change the chip, because news search indexing delay makes some staleness normal.
History and coverage gaps
- History: there is no server-side archive. Feeds return roughly the last 24 hours (3 days for single opposition leaders). Trend lines use snapshots saved in your own browser since your first visit (the Trends page shows when tracking began in this browser).
- Languages: News search has no Kannada, Urdu or Odia edition for India, so those three come from 2 to 3 major publishers' own feeds each (listed under Sources) rather than from the top-story ranking; coverage is narrower than the news search languages. Urdu is the thinnest: Inquilab and Siasat Urdu have no feed this server can read. Assamese and other languages are not covered.
- X posts: known accounts (PM Modi, PMO, the listed opposition leaders, PTI, ANI, IANS, UNI) are read from their public timelines using automated tools that X does not run; if it stops answering, the page falls back to News search's index of X, which is hours late. Every other X post comes only from News search's index, so most posts never appear and their authors are often unknown on this server. PTI and UNI have no Hindi X account that these sources return.
- Profile photos: saved copies for the fixed list of leaders and agencies; for other accounts, the photo X shows publicly, fetched by this site. When no photo can be found, the card shows the account's initials.
- Small states and UTs are often thin or empty in a 24-hour window.
- Not offered: email, SMS or push alerts that work when the site is closed (Alerts and Saved Searches run only in your browser, stored on your device); shared history and server scheduling; accounts and audit log; official paid X data; coordinated-activity detection; AI sentiment.
Privacy and corrections
- Privacy: no accounts and no tracking cookies from this site. Your theme, saved searches and cached data stay in this browser's local storage. The server counts page views per day (no IP address or identifier is stored); the contact form is delivered by a contact-form delivery service. YouTube videos you play on Live TV, radio streams you play, and ads (when switched on) come from third parties that may see your IP address or set their own cookies. See the Privacy Policy.
- Corrections: if a link, label or rule here is wrong, use the contact form or the Grievance Officer listed in the Privacy Policy. Headlines themselves belong to their publishers; Bharat Pulse Live cannot edit them.
