How This Page Works

  • X Posts

Public posts from official and well-known accounts, each with a direct link to the original post on X.

  • Top News, Agencies & Regional

Leading stories in Hindi, English and regional languages from public news sources and the news agencies' own accounts. Every item links to its original source.

  • Today's Summary method

Extractive, no AI: the day's top stories in English and Hindi, ranked by how widely they are covered, with near-duplicates removed. Headlines are shown exactly as published.

  • Hashtag-based tracker

Posts in the “Public: Support” and “Public: Criticism” tabs are selected automatically by the hashtags and phrases listed on each tab. A post that the Positive / Negative rule reads as against the Union government is never kept under Support, and one it reads as for the government is never kept under Criticism. No manual curation, human review, or AI-based content selection is involved, and some party, media or government posts can slip through.

  • Positive / Negative chip

Green Positive = the post or story supports or defends the Union government; red Negative = it criticises the Union government; grey Neutral = not about the government, no stance, or both. An automatic rule in your browser reads who says what about whom (Hindi, Hinglish, English). The words that decided it are shown on the card. It is rule-based (no AI), may sometimes be wrong and does not understand sarcasm. Treat it as a hint, not a measurement.

  • Automatic Updates

Posts and headlines update by themselves while the page is open, without reloading the page. New posts show up as a “N new posts” pill at the top of the list (tap it to see them), and each section shows when it was last updated (IST). If a source is unavailable, the last data saved in your browser is shown with a notice.

  • How quickly headlines appear

News items appear shortly after publishers make them public. Live TV and Live Radio play the broadcasters' own live streams.

  • Duplicates

Near-identical headlines from different outlets are grouped into one card with an “N sources” count.

Sources

Sources & Attribution

  • News sources

News items come from public news sources: publishers' own websites and feeds in English, Hindi and regional languages (for Kannada, Urdu and Odia: Prajavani, Kannada Prabha, Vijayavani; UNI Urdu, ETV Bharat Urdu; Sambad, Dharitri, ETV Bharat Odia), and the news agencies. Each card names its publisher and links to the original article.

  • Known X accounts

Posts come from the public X profiles of official accounts, leaders, news agencies, media and the people lists on this site. This site does not log into X. Profile photos are the accounts' public X photos.

  • Attribution

No news articles or X posts are independently authored, reproduced or republished here. Each card says “via public news links” or “via X” and links directly to the original publisher or X post for reference and verification.

  • No AI writing

Bharat Pulse Live does not write, edit or summarise any item with AI. Headlines and posts are shown as published, with credit and a link to the source.

Accounts

All accounts are public X accounts, verified using official sources. Lists are updated regularly.

Live TV and Newspapers

Live TV lists 209 news channels (Hindi 77, English 18, Regional 91, World 23). Each one is the channel's own official YouTube channel. Streams play in YouTube's embedded player only after you tap a channel; one plays at a time, and Multi-view 2×2 on desktop plays four muted. Streams are embedded from each channel's official YouTube; Bharat Pulse Live does not host or rebroadcast them.

Newspapers lists 25 papers. Headlines link to each paper's own website. “Read today's e-paper” opens the publisher's own e-paper site; e-paper pages are not stored or shown here.

X Monitor

Search Monitor finds recent public X posts for your keyword; results can lag and do not include every post. Account Watch shows each watched account's latest public posts with their like, repost, reply and view counts. Trend Analytics charts only those numbers and the keyword counts saved in this browser; nothing is estimated. Alerts run in your browser and are stored on this device; they work only while the site is open: they flag new posts from saved keywords and watched accounts, and a spike when the last hour has at least 3 posts and at least 3× the usual hourly volume. Account Compare (in Trend Analytics) counts posts inside the chosen range (India time; default Today), leaves reposts out, and shows likes, reposts, replies, quotes, bookmarks and views as X reports them. Engagement rate = (likes + reposts + replies + quotes) ÷ views. Keywords, watched accounts (up to 25), compare history and alerts are stored in this browser only.

Collection, refresh and time

  • Published time is the time the publisher (or X) gives for the item. Received time is when the item first appeared on Bharat Pulse Live. All times are shown in IST (UTC+05:30).
  • How quickly headlines appear: usually minutes to a few hours after publication.
  • When a source is temporarily unavailable: the site shows its most recent earlier updates (marked “Showing earlier updates”), never a made-up item.

Duplicates

Identical links are shown once (tracking parameters such as utm_* are ignored). Different outlets' headlines are grouped into one card with an “N sources” button only when they share at least 5 meaningful words and either 60% of all their words overlap, or 85% of the shorter headline (6+ words) appears in the longer one. Common words (“the”, “के”, “news”…) are ignored. The rule is deliberately cautious: two different stories are never merged on a few shared words, so some true duplicates stay separate.

Public trackers: hashtag matching rules

The “Public: Support” and “Public: Criticism” tabs are hashtag-based trackers, not sentiment analysis. A post appears when its text matches the search terms below and one of the “keep” words. A post that the Positive / Negative rule (below) reads as against the Union government is also left out of Support, and one it reads as for the government is left out of Criticism.

Known biases and false-positive risks

  • The hashtag lists were chosen by hand on 29 Oct 2026; they cover a few campaigns, not public opinion as a whole.
  • A post can use a hashtag to mock it, quote it or report on it; it still lands in that tab.
  • When the post author is unknown, party, minister and media posts can slip through the exclusion rules.
  • Volume reflects the public posts found, not how many people posted.

Positive / Negative on cards: stance toward the Union government

Cards carry a Positive, Negative or Neutral chip set by one plain rule that runs in your browser (no AI): Positive when the text praises, supports or defends the Union government, the Prime Minister, a Union minister or a government policy (achievements, launches, approvals, people backing the government, and the government answering its critics); Negative when it criticises, attacks or blames them (opposition, experts or courts criticising the government, protests against it, failures pinned on it); Neutral when it is not about the Union government, takes no stance, or carries both. It reads who does what to whom, not single words: “Congress ka scam” or a terror attack alone are Neutral, “Opposition slams Centre” is Negative, “Minister slams Opposition” is Positive. The same rule sorts the News Sentiment page and keeps the Public Support / Public Criticism trackers apart. Hovering the chip shows the words it matched; there is no confidence score.

  • Limits: it reads only Hindi, Hinglish and English; it cannot detect sarcasm, quotes or long sentences that change direction; a “not” or “नहीं” next to a word reverses it but other negation is missed; it marks the stance of the text, not public opinion or whether a policy is good or bad.

Data status labels

The chip in the header shows how fresh the news on the site is:

  • Updated the latest news was refreshed within the last 15 minutes.
  • Partial the latest refresh worked, but some sources had nothing new.
  • Delayed the latest refresh is more than 15 minutes old.
  • Unavailable the latest news is not available right now; try Refresh in a minute.

History and coverage gaps

  • History: live pages show roughly the last 24 hours of news (3 days for single opposition leaders). Where the History page is available, it keeps the last 7 days for everyone and up to 90 days for Premium members. Trend lines on the Trends page use snapshots saved in your own browser since your first visit.
  • Languages: English, Hindi and the main regional languages are covered; Kannada, Urdu and Odia come from fewer publishers (Prajavani, Kannada Prabha, Vijayavani; UNI Urdu, ETV Bharat Urdu; Sambad, Dharitri, ETV Bharat Odia), so coverage there is narrower. Assamese and other languages are not covered.
  • X posts: only public posts are shown, and not every post appears. If an account cannot be read for a while, related public news links are shown instead.
  • Profile photos: saved copies for the fixed list of leaders and agencies; for other accounts, the photo X shows publicly. When no photo can be found, the card shows the account's initials.
  • Small states and UTs are often thin or empty in a 24-hour window.
  • Not offered: email, SMS or push alerts that work when the site is closed (Alerts and Saved Searches run only in your browser, stored on your device); shared history and server scheduling; accounts and audit log; coordinated-activity detection; AI sentiment.

Privacy and corrections

  • Privacy: no accounts and no tracking cookies from this site. Your theme, saved searches and cached data stay in this browser's local storage. The server counts page views per day (no IP address or identifier is stored); the contact form is delivered by a contact-form delivery service. YouTube videos you play on Live TV, radio streams you play, and ads (when switched on) come from third parties that may see your IP address or set their own cookies. See the Privacy Policy.
  • Corrections: if a link, label or rule here is wrong, use the contact form or the Grievance Officer listed in the Privacy Policy. Headlines themselves belong to their publishers; Bharat Pulse Live cannot edit them.
